About us
Domoika Hike and Rock Climbing Adventures is an Indigenous Fijian communally owned and operated social enterprise, founded by Matelita Katamotu in June 2022. It belongs to the clan of Nadakunibure, in Waivaka Village, up in the province of Namosi , where your adventure begins.
Nestled in the picturesque highlands of Viti Levu, just 1.5 hours from Fiji’s capital of Suva, let the locals welcome you with a traditional sevusevu ceremony before our expert guides lead you through winding mountain trails to where pristine waterfalls flow through lush rainforest.

Our Sustainability Journey
Domoika Adventures is a strong advocate for sustainability through tourism. Our women adopt a farm-to-table concept for our meals , that are sourced directly from the farms.
Our replanting programmes include food sources like rourou, dalo and fruits trees along our hike trails supporting our conservation efforts towards biodiversity and sustaining ample food sources for our guests.
The use of bamboo to build sitting areas, bamboo raft and bowls, along with the implementation of composting to ensure we properly manage food waste.
Establishing a positive rapport with our guests has enabled us to retain a high number of returnees. This significantly allows continuity of the business and a retain a healthy cash flow that is sustainable.
A word from our founder
How we Give Back
Since launching in June of 2022, Domoika Adventures has been committed to returning 50% of all earnings to the community through employment of the village youth and women.
The social enterprise has provided a platform for villagers to sell their agricultural produce, handicrafts, kava and fresh coconut.
An important part of the business is our “GIVE BACK PROGRAMMES” that allows our guests to contribute in cash or kind towards village projects.
Donations included sportings equipments, library books, stationeries, food and clothes that primarily supports single parents and big families, provincial schools, village kindergartens and it has greatly played a vital role in improving village infrastructure.
